Adam Turton Takes on CEO Role at Elite Group

Adam Turton Succeeds Rob Sims as Elite Group’s CEO

 

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Turton as our new Chief Executive Officer. Our former Chief Revenue Officer succeeds Rob Sims, who has served as CEO for the last 5 and half years.

 

Adam is one of our Elite Group success stories, having started his journey over 20 years ago as a graduate. Under the guidance of our founder, Matt Newing, Adam embarked on a career-forging tour of every department within Elite, working in a range of roles from Finance to HR, Customer Service, Marketing and more, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience, which would fuel his quick progression through the ranks. During his career within Elite, he has played an integral role within many projects and has significant experience in leading and delivering growth strategies and M&A with more than 15 acquisitions completed within the sector, including a mix of share and asset purchases.

 

As CEO, Adam will be focussing his time and efforts on setting the long-term strategic direction of the company, with customer experience, product market fit and growth set as priorities.

 

Speaking on Adam’s appointment, Elite Group Founder and Chairman, Matt Newing said:

 

“Adam’s appointment is something we’ve been working towards for some time and forms part of an agreed succession plan with outgoing CEO, Rob Sims. With close to 20 years’ experience in the sector working exclusively for Elite Group (and associated group companies), Adam’s appointment is the culmination of all his hard work and dedication to the company. His appointment reflects positively on Elite as an employer that nurtures talent and rewards loyalty, commitment and hard work.”

 

Although Rob has stepped down from his role as CEO, he will be staying with the company and will now begin his planned role as, Board Advisor, where he will provide support with strategy and key projects within the business. Rob has worked closely with Adam and, when asked about passing the reins over to him, said:

 

“I’m delighted to be handing over the responsibilities to Adam. He has all of the leadership qualities and key attributes required to be a successful CEO and is the perfect person to lead Elite Group going forward.”
