This depends on the size and complexity of the network. A single Wireless Access Point can be functional within an hour. A wireless network that crosses multiple sites can take several days to commission, including siting the hardware and configuring the antennae.

For small offices, Access Points should be installed as centrally as possible or one installed on each floor for multi-storey offices. For larger installations, Elite would recommend the completion of a Wireless Survey with a heat map produced. This will give the most accurate view of optimal Access Point placement. There may be a requirement to run network points and power to these locations.

A properly configured and installed Wireless network is extremely secure and can be designed to report on elements, such as unrecognised devices and number of devices connected at any one time.
